Kandice N. Ahlberg, Au.D., CCC-A has been dedicated to exceptional patient care since 2011. She joined the Oklahoma Hearing Center in 2013 and specializes in diagnostic hearing evaluations, amplification, cochlear implant evaluations and programming, and osseiointegrated hearing devices. Prior to joining OHC, she worked as a pediatric Audiologist at the Integris Cochlear Implant Center.
Dr. Ahlberg graduated from Oklahoma State University (OSU) where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Communications Sciences and Disorders in 2007. Upon graduating from OSU, she went on to attend the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center and earned her Doctorate of Audiology in 2011 with Outstanding Distinction.
Dr. Ahlberg is a member of the American Academy of Audiology and the American Speech-Language- Hearing Association. She also has been active in bringing awareness in her community about the importance of hearing aids by being interviewed by the Daily Oklahoman for the article “What’s It Like: To get hearing aids?”
Dr. Ahlberg and her husband currently reside in Edmond, Oklahoma. She was blessed recently by having a little girl and enjoys all the new adventures of being a new parent. Dr. Ahlberg is an active member and volunteer at her church. She also enjoys spending time with her friends and family, baking cookies, and shopping.
What’s It Like: To get hearing aids
An estimated 36 million adults in the U.S. have some form of hearing loss. Many people seek out hearing aids because their family members or friends have told them they think they might have hearing loss. Sometimes it’s hard for people to get past the stigma and admit they’re suffering from hearing loss.
